Good questions, straight answers.
Does it post comments on my merge request?+
No. The agent is read-only: posting a comment or approving the merge request is listed as an action for you to approve, never executed.
Will it flood me with style remarks?+
No. A finding without a failure scenario is dropped by the agent's own rules, so formatting and naming preferences are out of scope.
Can I run it without connecting it to GitLab or GitHub?+
Yes. Standalone mode works from a diff file and a ticket pasted as text.
